Genesee/Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (GCASA) serves residents in Genesee and Orleans counties, with additional programs and outreach activities covering portions of Wyoming, Monroe, Erie, Chautauqua, Alleghany and Livingston counties in Western New York. Operating from four locations – our administrative office in Batavia; an Orleans County office in Albion; our Atwater Community Residence in Batavia; and The Recovery Station recovery center in Batavia – GCASA has been dedicated to the prevention of alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse and the treatment of recovering individuals for more than four decades, and promises to continue serving the region for years to come.

Get the Help You Need

GCASA offers a number of prevention services, and treatment and residential services to those seeking recovery from a substance use disorder. Our treatment services can help you find the support and guidance needed to develop and maintain healthy behaviors and serve as an outlet and support group to aid in difficult and challenging times during your recovery.

For more intensive needs, the Atwater Home Community Residence offers residential stays and recovery programs to help individuals through their recovery journey. Providing in-facility access to doctors and counselors, the Atwater Home also provides mental, physical, psychological and spiritual support to deliver supportive living care and education to lead to a productive life through and beyond recovery. You Don’t Have to Walk the Road to Recovery Alone

Recovery from drug, alcohol or substance addiction or abuse is not as simple as overcoming a cold or flu. Recovery is a process, and often benefits from the help of professional staff like counselors, coaches and peers who have made the same journey.
