Treatment Services

GCASA’s approach to treating people with substance use disorder is based on many years of research and study of what works in addiction recovery. Our treatment philosophy is based on a medical model and the knowledge that substance use disorder is a chronic illness that affects the mind, body and spirit of a person and those close to them. Counselors are trained to help teens, men and women manage their addiction, with a focus on helping people find recovery.

The treatment team at each of our licensed clinics includes the medical director, nurse practitioner, registered nurses and trained counselors. Because treatment and recovery needs to be individualized to afford the greatest chance of success, we offer specialty programs such as Opioid Treatment including Methadone Treatment, Men’s Program, Women’s Group, Medication Assisted Treatment, Gambling Treatment, Co-Occurring Group and more. Many of GCASA’s counselors have specialized addictions training; CASAC-T or CASAC credential (PDF).

We encourage individuals who are uninsured to meet with our agency navigator for assistance in securing Medicaid or insurance through the NY State of Health marketplace.  For those who are not eligible, a sliding fee scale is utilized to determine a self-pay fee.  For a current list of insurance companies we accept, please click here.
