Per Diem.  Flexible schedule necessary as work hours would include weekends, evenings, overnight and/or holidays, based on program needs.  Candidate must have ability to work with 17 recovering adults in a residential program.  Job entails making continuous rounds of the building at various times, being accountable for all residents at all times during shift, overseeing random toxicology testing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the 3-year Targeted Capacity Expansion: Medication Assisted Treatment-Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction (MAT-PDOA) grant. Duties include:  Overseeing daily implementation of the grant and ensuring adherence to the project timeline.  Establishing processes and protocols for and overseeing implementation of the major grant activities/supportive services.  Monitoring grant progress, supporting data collection and ongoing evaluation, and writing and submitting timely federal reports.  This is a grant funded position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree is required.  Individuals with CASAC or Qualified Health Professional (QHP) status are encouraged to apply. The selected individual must demonstrate strong skills in the following areas: verbal and written communication, collaboration, ability to work independently, organization and project management, and leadership. Knowledge of community resources and agencies and of the disease of addiction and the recovery process are preferred but not required. SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Part time.  17.5 hours per week.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a written evaluation plan (including identification and/or creation of appropriate assessment tools) to finalize and guide the Medication Assisted Treatment-Prescription Drug & Opioid Addiction (MAT-PDOA) evaluation process, adjust selected data collection tools and process as appropriate, and tally and analyze data to inform our improvement process and support communication with the public and reporting. He/she will oversee all grant and MAT related data collection efforts for the agency.  This is a grant funded position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of evaluation experience that includes experience evaluating at least one federal grant or a substance abuse program.
  • Master’s degree with at least 2 years of evaluation experience that includes experience evaluating at least one federal grant or a substance abuse program.
  • PhD with evaluation experience that includes experience evaluating at least one federal grant or a substance abuse program.

Must demonstrate strong skills in evaluation and reporting as well as strong skills in the following areas: verbal and written communication, collaboration, ability to work independently, organization and project management, and leadership. Local travel within the immediate tri-county region will be required. Travel outside of the tri-county region may be required occasionally. Registered Nurse (RN)

Registered Nurse (RN) for In-Jail Medication Assisted Treatment Dispensing

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Part time.  8 hours per week.  The Nurse will administer FDA-approved medication assisted treatment (MAT) medication and perform related nursing services in county jails for incarcerated individuals within 4 months of their release.  This is a grant funded position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a current New York State Nurses License. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a medications license. SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The In-Jail and Reentry SUD Counselor will support the recovery of previous offenders with opioid use disorder (OUD) during incarceration at Genesee and Orleans County Jails and after community reentry through assessment, treatment, and support. This is a grant funded position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be eligible for or hold current state credentials for substance abuse counseling – NYS CASAC or Qualified Health Professional (QHP). The selected candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of paid SUD counseling experience. 4.5 FTE’s available.  Assists in the development and monitoring of the recovery systems of Genesee/Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc. They will demonstrate relevant, competent knowledge and skills in the area of providing one-on-one recovery services and support to individuals.  In addition, they will provide linkage with other service providers in the community. This is a grant funded position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum HS diploma or certified high school equivalency. Must have or be willing to obtain Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) – Provisional certification within the first six months of employment.  Preferred knowledge of community-based recovery services, substance use disorder counseling, and family systems.  Must have valid NYS license and method of transportation.  Scheduled work hours will be flexible to provide maximum coverage as needed and may vary accordingly to include weekdays, weekends, and/or evenings. Responsible for dispensing buprenorphine and liquid methadone to patients in a medication assisted addiction treatment program.  This position performs job activities adhering to medical standards in a compassionate, professional manner and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of New York.  Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Must have a current CPR/First Aid certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.  Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.  Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.  Experience in substance abuse/mental health environment preferred, but will consider recent nursing school graduate.
