Genesee/Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (GCASA) is a rapidly expanding nonprofit organization located in Western NY that has been offering help to those impacted by substance use disorder through prevention, treatment, and recovery services for over 40 years. DUTIES:
Per diem to part time/20 hours per week. Individual will perform security patrols of designated areas on foot. Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards and sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of the presence of unauthorized persons or fire. Under the general direction of the Director of Detox Services, the Clinical Supervisor leads and shares ownership with the Director of Detox services and Intake Coordinator in managing the bed census. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor may carry a small caseload to support their team, when needed, which may include providing and documenting in a contemporaneous fashion the related services of individual counseling, small group counseling education & training. SUPERVISION: The Registered Nurse will report to the Nurse Manager  

DUTIES:
Hours include days, nights, overnights, and weekends. The nurse is responsible for all nursing related services for each patient and for linking patients to the physicians and to outside medical resources. He/She participates in the Interdisciplinary Team Meetings when necessary to inform the clinical team about medical issues and is available for emergency medical situations. The nurse provides all services under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The nurse is responsible to provide medical and history screens, providing routine nursing care and overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the attending physician.   1. The Recovery Center Staff will be responsible for supporting daily operations at the Recovery Center.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties

  • Collaborate with participants to develop and monitor progress on individualized Service Plans that are designed based on an assessment of needs and include goals and actions to be taken to achieve goals for both the qualifying individual and family members.
  • Coordinate with all health care providers (e.g. SUD, MH, physical health) to ensure timely communication that results in high-quality care. This includes working cooperatively with all treatment providers when participants choose to engage in treatment services.

Supervisory Relationships
This position is under the direct supervision of Access Matters Grant and Data Coordinator. The position will collaborate frequently with the Reentry Coordinator. This position does not supervise any other positions.

The selected individual must demonstrate strong skills in data collection, analysis/evaluation, and reporting as well as strong skills in the following areas: verbal and written communication, collaboration, ability to work independently, organization and project management, leadership, knowledge of community resources, and a willingness and ability to effectively work with people with SUD who are returning to the community from jail or prison.
