Assists in the development and monitoring of the recovery systems of GCASA. Demonstrate relevant, competent knowledge and skills in the area of providing one-on-one recovery services and support. Minimum HS diploma or certified high school equivalency. Must have or be willing to obtain Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) – Provisional certification within the first six months of employment.  Preferred knowledge of community-based recovery services, substance use disorder counseling, and family systems.EOE

Project Coordinator: Statewide Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis Grant

Coordinating the activities of the Statewide Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis (STR) Grant and the resulting Center of Treatment Innovation (COTI).  Oversee the daily activities of the grant project. Establish, disseminate, and implement a plan for deploying Peer Recovery Coaches.  Serve as the lead contact for community agencies and potential mobile clinic visit locations and coordinate collaboration with partners.  Bachelor’s Degree and CASAC or Qualified Health Provider status required as well as demonstrated leadership or project coordination experience, excellent writing and speaking skills, and outstanding collaborative skills.  EOE

Screen individuals for admission eligibility criteria for Opioid Treatment Program.  Complete bio-psycho-social interview and identify patient treatment needs.  Provide counseling sessions as required.  Preferred candidate is a BA/BS, CASAC, with three years paid experience in substance use disorder counseling.  Knowledge/experience in Medication Assisted Treatment preferred.   EOE

Per Diem, flexible schedule necessary as work hours would include weekends, evenings, overnight and/or holidays, based on program needs.  Minimally, High School graduate, Associates degree preferred.  Experience working in a human service or addictions program preferred.  Must be addiction free including nicotine.  Pre-employment background/post-offer drug screening required.  Valid NYS driver’s licence necessary and method of transportation required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate must have ability to work with 17 recovering adults in a residential program.  Responsibilities include making continuous rounds of the building at various times, being accountable for all residents at all times during shift, overseeing random toxicology testing, etc.

Part-Time Bilingual Counselor

BILINGUAL CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COUNSELOR

QUALIFICATIONS and BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION :
Part-time 15 hours per week. BA/BS degree in Social Work, Psychology or closely related human service field and qualification as a QHP. Must be Spanish speaking and familiar with Hispanic cultures . At least three years’ experience in an addictions treatment setting and must demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a mult – cultural staff to provide culturally appropriate services to a widely diverse client population. Must possess a valid NY State driver’s license and method of transportation. Must be addiction-free including tobacco. Pre-Employment background/post offer drug screening required. Travel required within service area.
