Prevention program services aim to reduce the incidence and prevalence of substance use for people of all ages. Our philosophy is based on prevention science; programs need to be research based, data driven, and outcome focused. The Prevention Needs Assessment (PNA) survey is administered to youth throughout Genesee County biannually. The prevention dashboard provides an interactive visualization of ten years of youth use and risk and protective factors. Prevention program staff is available to deliver a variety of services and certified programs in the community and schools.

Programs and services range from presentations on drug trends and media literacy to direct services through Accountability Circles, DWI Victim Impact Panel and Responsible Server Training. Our service area is primarily Genesee and Orleans County, however some programs extend to Wyoming, Monroe, Erie, Chautauqua, Alleghany and Livingston Counties.
